Blue Angel's and a Great Weekend

This past week has been such a blessing having my grandparents from Idaho down for the full week. To finish the week off we went to the Blue Angel's air show. It was SO much fun! I think I enjoyed it more than the kids. We had an absolute blast and I got a lot of fun pics. So here's the array of many pics :) Enjoy :) We did!

We had a fun day Sunday too. Jeff and I spoke in our ward then we went to my parents ward and Kelsi spoke there and then Teona, Kelsi and I sung in the "instant choir." It was fun. For dinner we were blessed to have my whole family, grandparents, Gene and Darwin Mcphee (old family friends). 

Slip and Slide Party Time!

Our sweet friend Kristie invited myself and the kids to come have a slip-n-slide party and soak up this  AMAZING weather we have been having. So of course we couldn't pass by that opportunity. The kids were spoiled with slip-n-slide, pool, friends, popsicles, cupcakes and tons of fun!!

Skylee's First Admirer

So I got an email from a new friend of mine in our new ward. I thought it was pretty funny but also got me to thinking what is coming in the future. Not sure if I'm ready to start dealing with all the he likes-she likes etc stuff but it is coming. Did I mention my little girl is going to Kindergarten this year! Yeah, freaks me out a little. I can't shelter her from everything I have been trying so hard to for the past four and a half years.
    Anyhow, I included the note she wrote me- thought it might be fun to show Skylee years from now. Enjoy :)

I have to tell you that Devin thinks Skylee is so cute. He said going home from church that he wanted to go with Skylee and I said that he couldn't. So I said to him "Skylee is nice huh" and he said "Yes, but I don't love her I just like her..... I just want to be her friend" I think that it is cute that he notices that she is a nice girl, I told him that someday he will find a nice girl and take her to the temple and he said "Ya like Skylee" I am big on not having "girlfriends" at his age and he has a little friend in Preschool that is always talking about his girlfriends and breaking up with them and I tell him that he can't date until he is 16 and have girlfriends, so he know that she is not his girlfriend, but he really likes her and talks about her a lot! LOL I just thought that you would think it is cute that Skylee has an admirer :)

I Am a Child of God

Skylee called me into her room tonight and said "Mom! You know in the family home evening movie 'God' came to Joseph Smith? It's the same like "I Am a Child of 'God.' it's the same God!
I thought it was so sweet she made that connection and it also took me by surprise that those connections weren't there before. I think I just expect my four year old to understand these complex ideas. If I don't teach her she won't know.
So we had a little discussion abt God and Heavenly Father and it was a sweet moment. Not sure how she made that connection but just wanted to write it down before I forgot that simple but profound statement.

PS; wanted to mention everyone keeps mentioning how well Jaston is speaking right now. I just remember over night he was talking in full sentences. It takes him some processing time but he gets out what he wants to say most of the time :) a lot of people have mentioned how much darker his hair has become as well. Hard to notice when you are with him all the time but it is getting much more brown than blonde.
He has also been starting some terrible two characteristics like talking back to the mother... And NOT being quiet during church ( any advice for this would be welcomed ). So story - a few weeks ago during a prayer he was jabbering away in his outside voice and I put my finger to my lips hoping he would hush. Yeah, not so much, instead I get a pointer finger to the face and what felt like a scream "Your be quiet!" and that is the fun stage we are going through.
But oh my heck how cute this kid is too! I can't get over this sweet little man. He is constantly making me smile and giving me loves and tackling me and just being the sweetest, tenderest little guy. He really. really is all boy though. Can't get enough of this little man even if he is a stinker a lot of the time.

Disneyland and Legoland!! :)

This past week we took the kids to Disneyland and Legoland. Holy Cow so fun! We had a blast. We did Legoland on Monday. It opened at 10 and we played til about 2 and then a big storm moved in so we went to the aquarium. The kids loved it. Then Tuesday we got to go to Disneyland! So much fun! The kids had a blast. We learned our lesson: You can't just go to Disneyland for one day. We have learned a lot for our next trip- hopefully soon. :) So believe it or not I narrowed down our pics to ten collages... :) 

 Have to comment on the AMAZING ice cream. Don't know how but Disneyland's ice cream is HEAVENLY :) This was the one thing I insisted on.

Yeah, we ran them hard for two days. We all slept well that night :)

 We waited for an hour and a half (well really my mom did) to see these three princesses... I think she thought it was worth it.

 We are SO SO glad Grandma came with us. The kids LOVED it.

We had so so much fun. I'm so glad we decided to take the kids and go. It was so much fun looking back over the pics too. :)

Catch Up Post

A few weeks behind but for Valentine's Day I decided to invite a few friends over to have a fun Valentine get-together. We had a great turn out and had so much fun. We decorated our Valentine bags, cookies, traded Valentines and played while the Momma's chatted (my fav!).

 Just was looking through the camera today and came across these cute pics of the kiddos. They love to play on my i-touch. Aren't they so stinkin cute??

 Today Jeff ran in the Dog Town Half Marathon. He did an awesome job. He ran it in 1 hour 35 min (and ten seconds which he says is ten seconds over his goal ). The finish line was at a park so the kids got to play while we waited for Daddy and our friend, Paul, to finish. So I decided to play around with my camera settings while they were playing... Still trying to figure out how i like my settings but got a few cute pics anyway. Enjoy :)

These are just because my kids are so cute and I wanted to share their cuteness. :) SO excited to take these two sweet faces to Disneyland and Legoland this next week. CAN NOT wait!

Happy Christmas..... I mean Valentine's!

The pics are backwards but tonight for family night we got a little confused with what holiday to celebrate. I insisted we decorate sugar cookies and Skylee insisted we build snow men. So we comprimised and did both. The snow men were actually from a kit Skylee got for Christmas from Uncle Ken. It's pretty crazy stuff it's these tiny packets of stuff that looks like you couldn't make anything out of and with water it starts to expand and make snow. Don't know if you can tell in the first pic but that is one of those little ball things that is super tiny when you first get it and then you leave it in water for like four hours and it becomes huge (compared to it's orginal tiny like a period on this page no joke). It only took like half a teaspoon of the powder to make one of those snow men. Needless to say we were impressed and the kids had fun. And we had way too many cookies so we got to share with some neighbors :) Happy Early Valentine's :)
