Brielle is four months!

            My sweet baby girl is four months old! Where did the time fly? I can't even express what this sweet spirit brings to our family. None of us can get enough of her. The kids fight over her daily and they both love to help out when it comes to Brielle. I am not sure why but I am just eating up this baby stage even though she has proven to be a challenge with sleeping at night. 

         Just yesterday she rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time. She loves to stand and her new favorite thing is grabbing her feet. It's pretty tough to get her to laugh but she seems to be smiling all the time. She likes her schedule. If you throw her off her schedule (eating especially) it is not pretty. Pretty much to the T she wants to eat every 2 hours and 45 min. Not a minute earlier and especially not a minute late. 

        She overall is a pretty chill baby. As long as you don't mess with her eating schedule and Jaston doesn't get in her face she is pretty happy. She has found her voice and squeals all the time- mostly happy but sometimes it's hard to tell. She really is such a doll and we feel SO SO blessed to have her in our family. I will admit it makes me nervous she is starting to roll this house is not even close to being baby-proof! Here are her stats:

Height: 23" (3rd percentile)

Weight: 12 lbs 1/2 oz (7th percentile)

Head: 40.6 cm (46th percentile)

Doc says she is perfect. She HATED her shots this time. Poor thing had to get three in her sweet little thighs and one oral one. Here's some pics I've taken over the past few days. 

First Days of School

This little lady started her first day of first grade last Thursday ( the 8th) She has Mrs. Berg for her teacher. So far she seems to really like it. Sky won't talk a lot about school but she says her teacher tells her she needs to skip to college work. I have also heard her say how much she loves the "little" girls cuz they are so tough and each day when I pick up Skylee she calls her "smart-brain." 

Hopefully it is a great year for Skylee. 

 And this stud started his first day of preschool today. I walked him in and he never looked back- no hug, no bye for Mom just headed into the classroom. I tried not to be sad or offended ;) He seemed to have a great time. I certainly did enjoy shopping with just Brielle but when I picked him up I realized I had missed the little goofball :) 

Mud Mania 2013

In Kingman they have a fun tradition to set up a mud run right before school starts for the kids. I didn't realize when I went what a big deal it was. We weren't really prepared. I had merely thought it was mud the kids could play in. Nope, you had to wait in line for a good half hour- an hour for each age group. They lined the kids up and raced them about four kids each time. So technically you were supposed to be four to run but when I saw some of the other kids that were running I asked Jaston if he wanted to run. He said he did so we jumped in the line. I had to convince the lady we had waited in line so long and he REALLY wants to race and she let him :)

He had a ton of fun and then despite Skylee refusing at first she decided she wanted to do it. Jaston wasn't even close in the competition part of it but he did all the obstacles. Skylee on the other hand is my competitive one and wanted to win!

This is a 6-7 year old group. 

So going in, neither one wanted to run it and by the end both had mud on them ( I can't say covered in mud cuz they actually stayed relatively clean but still had mud on them :)

Lightning Storm

I met some of my sweet friends at the water park one day in St. George (Brit, Cassie, and Kaesh) and snapped this cute pic of Jaston. He such a cute little stinker! It was great to see my sweet friends and their kids and man, do I wish we had a water park in Kingman; my kids loved it!

We took the kids to Despicable Me and on the way home there was some awesome lightning so we went up on a hill and watched. It was super pretty up there. I tried super hard to catch the lightning on camera and only caught one little piece but it was fun anyway. In hindsight maybe up on a hill during a lightning storm- not so smart though...

24th and Skylee's Birthday

For the 24th we headed to Monroe, Utah. The best town in the world (that I know of) to celebrate Pioneer Day. The kids had a blast and Skylee had a Happy Birthday!

Hobble Creek

We had a blast going up to a beautiful park I believe it was up Hobble Creek. The kids had a blast in the water and it was so gorgeous I had to pull out my camera and try and get a few fun pics.

He had a shirt on for about five min til he fell in the water. the rest of the pics are shirtless... sorry!
