Casts #4
We got #3 casts off today and #4 casts on. Doc said they are looking great. Right foot is ready for the tenotomy but left probably needs one more week. So it looks like two more weekly casts and then the last cast stays on for three weeks. He will get his brace (boots and bar) after the three week casts. Last week's casting was super stressful and rough. He did much better this week. We shall see how next week goes.
We have been so blessed to have so much help through this whole process. Teona allowed us to stay at her house each week and kept Brielle for us today while we went. Mom kept the older two (well for part of the night- my friend, Amie, took them for the rest). Teria has been taking the kids after school on Thursday until we get home. Shriner's has been so amazing with working with our insurance and helping us financially. Today while we were there we had two different people give Dayton blankets. One was a beautiful tied quilt that a lot of time and love was spent on. I have been really touched by everyone's willingness to help. Although this has been a tough process it has been a humbling experience and I am very grateful for it.

One Month Old
This little guy turned one month old on Aug 7th. We sure love him. He is a great sleeper and eater. He loves white noise ESP Mom's app that sounds like the womb. He likes his swing and being snuggled. He does NOT like or have any tolerance for waiting when he is ready to nurse. He loves to nurse not only for food but for comfort. He pretty much falls asleep nursing every single time. He is SO loved around our house ESP by the girls, they can't get enough of him. He adds a lot to our family.
First day of school/second set of casts
Dayton's second set of casts fell on the same day Skylee and Jaston started their first day of school. Jeff stayed home and got them ready for school while I took Dayton up to Salt Lake. I was super sad to miss their first day of school. This is the pic of them right before school that day.
Teona was so helfpul and went and stayed in the Ronald McDonald house with me. We had quite the night. Dating decided to get sick and throw up right before we put him to bed so we ended up worried every squeak he made (he is one noisy kid anyway) he was going to throw up again. Casting went well tho and the doctor said his feet may be stretching a little quicker and may only need around five casts. Guess we will find out. He seemed to adjust better to these casts than the first ones. We also went to Ryley and Saige's wedding. He did good til the end and then was DONE and inconsolable.

24th of July
We took a quick trip to Monroe for the 24th. In hindsight it may have been a bit early for me and the little guy to do such a big outing but it was fun despite the rough night. Jeff ran the 5 mile Milk Run and got 2nd in his age division. And the last few pics was Skylee's Minecraft bday Lego set- she was thrilled.
