Phoenix

A few weeks ago Jeff had a cancer workshop in Phoenix and invited me and the kids to go down with him. We decided it would be much funner with Nana there and she was so sweet and took work off for a day to come with us to site-see. We had a fun weekend getting to go to the beautiful Gilbert Temple open house, the zoo, see Uncle Ken and his Girlfriend, Liz and shop til we dropped :) (Almost literally for me and Brielle going up and escalator but Nana saved the day). It was the kid's first time at a zoo ( I know deprived children) but they really enjoyed it. Brielle was super impressed with the birds in the parking lot before we even got into the zoo. :) Overall a great get-away.

Stumped

For the past six months Skylee has been complaining daily about her stomach hurting her. I have tried what I feel was a thousand things and finally gave up and went to the doctor. She suggested I try a week of Dairy free and then a week of Gluten free and if that doesn't work then we would go do some blood work and x-rays and etc. So we are on day three of no dairy and on the first day Skylee said it didn't hurt her anymore. SO either she is that sensitive that taking away dairy for one day would make the difference or it's all in her head. Still haven't totally figured out which. We did have a Caesar salad last night and I let her have some just to see if a little dairy would hurt her stomach and she said it hurt a little at bed time so still unsure. I know when this whole thing started she was having some anxiety in school so I wondered if it was related to her anxiety but with how persistent it was I became convinced it was physical. But nothing we did would relieve the pain. 
        I have pretty bad anxiety about doing the gluten free diet since I feel pretty much everything we eat has gluten in it but it would probably be good for us. I just wanted to document what's been going on so I can look back in a few months and see if anything has changed. I think I am going to try and get her on some probiotics as well and see if that helps too. I just feel so helpless not being able to help her but a stomach ache is such a vague symptom. I just really hope nothing serious is going on. I hate that she is hurting and I feel so helpless to help her. I guess it's a good sign that this is helping whether or not it's physically helping or not but do we keep her off dairy or what? This being a mom thing is tough!
