35 Weeks

     So I am officially 35 weeks pregnant and feeling it. :) I went to the doctor yesterday and he says everything looks good. He was a little concerned about my weight gain since I have only gained about 17 pounds and these past few weeks I only gained a pound but he said as long as I'm gaining (which trust me I am) then he won't worry. I have unfortunately developed my nausea symptoms all over again which is no fun. I thought it was just from our vacation that I wasn't feeling that hot but since I've been home it has continued. I'm afraid it is something I am just going to have to deal with for the next few weeks. 

     I swear this baby girl is trying to escape. She is constantly trying to jab her way out of my sides and kicking me up in the ribs. I love feeling her move I think it is so fun. When I lay on my left side you can see her foot trying to push it's way out. There have been several times Jeff and I are super surprised by her strength. You can almost completely grab her little foot it's sticking out so far. 

     I think for this point in pregnancy I'm doing well. I have had a little swelling in my feet and my back and hips hurt most of the time. I'm just so grateful she is healthy and I know things could be much worse so I'll keep my complaining to a minimum... most of the time. 

    I am down to weekly doctor appts and they will start checking me next week. I'm curious to see if I'm progressing at all yet. We are going to St. George for Easter next weekend so I'm hoping this first appt I'm not progressing so I don't feel worried about going down and after that trip I would be happy with any progress :) Well, it's just a few more weeks til we get to meet this little gal. 

San Diego Temple

Visiting the temple wasn't on our to-do list but when we were driving to find a BJ's pizza (yum!) we rounded the corner on the freeway and saw the gorgeous temple. We decided to stop and enjoy the grounds for a few minutes. This was after a whole day at Sea World and the kids were pretty worn out. Jaston was completely slap-happy and trying to get a cute picture with him was torture thus all the silly pics. It was a foggy evening though and just beautiful so we had to get some pics of the temple. 

The kids found a ginormous hill behind the temple and had to give rolling down it a try- Jeff decided to join in. I decided it might be better to just watch, laugh, and take the pictures :) They had a blast.

These two were from Jeff's phone- what a goofball. I posted this one on Instagram and had a friend say it was just him trying to give us a visual of the angel he was seeing. :)

Sea World

We wanted to take a family vacation before our next little bundle decides to join us. We decided to take the kids to Sea World over Spring Break. They absolutely loved it. I was a little worried being 35 weeks pregnant and going may not have been the best idea but we had a lot of fun and the babe is still snuggly in my belly :) Here are a few pics of some of the kid's favorite things.

Jeff gets really sick on any rides that rock or spin so this was one of the only rides the kids went on since I couldn't go on any and Jeff didn't want to get sick. It was an Elmo flying fish ride and they loved it! (as you can tell from their expressions ;)

Shamu Show

This was a turtle game they played- they loved it. It was the only thing they specifically asked to go back and do the second day.

The Pet Show- The kids loved it and they got to pet a Kangaroo, a pig, and some cats and dogs after.

Day 2- I forgot my camera in the car and wasn't about to add a trip to the car to the walking for the day so I took a few pics with my phone and just tried to enjoy the day.

We went on the Sky-Ride which takes you up over the water and you can see for quite a-ways. Jaston loved it can you tell?

Sea World was such a blast. The kids couldn't stop talking about it. They enjoyed all the shows. Skylee liked the Sea Lions Live show and couldn't stop telling us her favorite part was when the Sea Lion got upset cuz he couldn't get a Coke out of the vending machine and then the little otter came up and got it. Jaston didn't really pay attention during the shows and was constantly asking when it was over but after all was said and done he said he loved the shows. Esp the Pet Show. I heard good and bad about going to Sea World from others but it was a perfect weekend for our family and a great last vacation as a family of four.

Sea World Flowers

On Friday we went to Sea World and got there a little bit early. While we were waiting for everything to open I decided we needed to get some pics by their gorgeous flowers. The kids were in goofy moods but I got a few cute pics. 

Gorgeous Weather

Today was a GORGEOUS day. The weather could not have been more perfect. I went to Bullhead City and let the kids play at the park while I soaked up the sun. After Jeff got off work he wanted to  take advantage of the pretty weather  too so we went on a family bike ride (if you have never seen a woman 8 months pregnant riding a bike- you should try it's quite humorous) but it was so beautiful and fun. After the bike ride, Jeff went out and  played catch with the kids. Here are a few pics from our evening.

Too much fun

A few weeks ago we had a snow storm and we actually had some snow that stuck for a few hours. The kids had a blast playing in it. Here are some pics I got of them playing in the snow.

Skylee again

Skylee's teacher explained at the open house the other night that they are really pushing them to spell things out phonetically and I have seen that a lot in Sky the past few weeks.
She wrote this one today. The other day she asked when we could have pets and I explained that the house we are renting now has a no pets rule. She thought that was pretty unfair since the owners before us had pets. For some reason she felt the need to write us this letter today.
Here's the translation- Pets are not supposed to be in this house mom and Dad. This house was not made to be a house that has animals. It was made for people sorry that is so long. Bye bye

I also just remembered a comment today Sky said that made me laugh. We drove past the cemetery and she said-" Mom that place has lots of pretty flowers but it has lots of zombie signs too." I have no idea where she got that from but I'm assuming she means the head stones.

Bragging Rights

Last night we went to Skylee's open house at her school. Her teacher has always said she is a great student, polite, quiet. I'm not sure why it surprised me so much but there was a chart in the classroom that the kids were working on passing certain things off- their ABC's, sight words, numbers, etc etc. there was probable 20 diff things they were passing off. For each thing they earned something on their ice cream sundae. Skylee has been talking abt her ice cream party for a long time- now I understand. Anyhow people were all over on the chart but there were two kids who had them all filled out and one was Skylee. I'm not sure why that chart really made me realize she is a very good student and I had a proud Momma moment. She loves to learn and is doing really well- that's a relief!

Our Weekend

We went to Vegas yesterday to go shopping and meet up with Jeff's mom and brother for his cousin's reception. Jeff had a specific pair of shoes he was interested in so we had to go to two diff malls to finally find them but we were pleasantly surprised how easy it was I entertain the kids. You have some escalators and life is great for them.
One of the things we have missed the most besides family and friends is our restaurants. So we made it down for lunch at Olive Garden and we had the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. The day wouldn't be complete for me without some Dairy Queen at the end of the day. Believe it or not there are NO good ice cream places in Kingman- no DQ, no Cold Stone, no Baskin Robbins, nothing! I did hear rumors of a Baskin Robbins coming tho. As that is my fav fav treat I insisted we stop on the drive home.
Jason and Sarah had an awesome reception last night. It was basically a big carnival for free. The kids loved it. I enjoyed seeing Jeff's cousins/ aunts and uncles and watching the kids enjoy themselves. Overall it was a fun trip!
