Spectrum 10K, and 11 months!

Jeff has to run so many SG races to be able to run the St. George marathon without having to enter the lottery because we are not St. George residents anymore :( . So he did the Spectrun 10K last weekend. He did a great job and finished strong. My mom, Kelsi and myself drove by just in time to catch him on the course for a second and then reached the finish line just in time to see him finish. We then went shopping and had a really fun weekend getting ready for Kelsi's baby shower and shopping for maternity clothes :) It was fun. 

This crazy girl is eleven months old. I am in total denial that in less than one month she is going to be a year old. I was so nervous about having another baby but I cannot believe the happiness she brings to us all. Everyone just loves to be around her. I thought the kids would get tired of her but they still fight over her attention and get so excited when she smiles or laughs at them.

She is one determined little girl. When she wants something she is not going to give up without getting it or putting up a major fight for it. It's so funny cuz she is such a chill baby until she doesn't get something she wants and then the world is going to hear about it. She is a champ. Up until about a month ago she had two teeth on the bottom and no sign of any more. Right now she has six I can see trying to push through all at the same time. Four on the top and two on the bottom. She has been a bit fussy and running fevers but I can only imagine how much pain that would be and she is a real trooper. 

She is standing now all the time and has really good balance. She takes one step pretty confidently and has taken up to five steps but she prefers to crawl esp if you are trying to get her to walk. In her Nana's words "She ain't nobody's trained monkey." I have mixed emotions about her walking. I am excited for her to be able to go play out back and not ruin her pants but I'm afraid church is going to be much more of a challenge until nursery and keeping track of her is going to be tough. She already gets into everything so I can only imagine once she is up on two feet and running everywhere. But OH I love that stage when little babies are learning how to walk! Thankfully I don't have the choice of whether she gets to grow up or walk cuz I would probably keep her my baby forever! All my babies will be my babies forever but it's tough when they become toddlers and leave the baby stage behind. Love Love Love my three kiddos. My life is amazing with them in it. I am truly blessed with an amazing family!

Today

Skylee noticed yesterday that our tree in the back yard had blossomed and begged me to take some pictures. Because it's spring break and because we all looked so haggard yesterday I told her that the next day we would dress nice and do her hair and get some pictures. So this morning at 6:30 she craws into my bed with a skirt on, ready to take pictures. We didn't get around to it until this afternoon but we got out and took some pictures with her in the tree. Then the kids wanted to take some pictures too. Thus the millions of pictures, but I love how they tell the story of "my turn!" "No, my turn!"

As you can see Skylee is the only one we dressed up today. I intended to cut Jaston's hair (did not get done) so we didn't even comb his hair today and Brielle... well she didn't really get beautified today either. If you look closely you can see Jaston's underwear tucked into his shirt (happens all... the... time... haha)

Family Hike

On Saturday we needed to get out of the house and enjoy the weather starting to warm up. So we just went a block or so from our house and hiked around. I'm super excited that the weather is starting to cooperate. 

Brielle was super tired but still so excited to be out of the house.

Jaston asked me at least a hundred times if I could carry him cuz he was "SO TIRED!" but he made it and made me realize we need to get this kid out and exercising since the hike was like half a mile. :) 

Robot Parade

This past week the first grader's in Skylee's school made robots and did a robot parade. Even though we got it in several weeks later than we though it was due, we finished it. She drew a picture she wanted it to look like and this is how "Rosalina" her robot turned out. She was pretty proud of it so we must have done a good job.

Skylee couldn't wait for Jeff to come home the other day cuz he had promised he would go out and play ball with the kids. Naturally I felt this was the perfect opportunity to snap some pictures while Brielle was taking a nap. I realized I don't take many outdoor photos and really want to try some more cuz the lighting is so much easier to work with than indoor photos. So here are a few fun shots of Jaston and Skylee playing ball with their Daddy. 

Cameloupe

I was getting Jaston cantaloupe the other day and he asked in all seriousness, "Mom, do they have to kill camels to get cameloupe?" I LOVE the way kid's innocent little minds work. Esp my Jaston!

We also went to pick up a table from a storage unit yesterday and we were in the car following Jeff in the van. I told Jaston we were putting the table in the van that's why we couldn't be in there and he thought for a minute and he said, " A table in the van that's AWESOME!!"

Today in the car Jaston asked me if I had another baby in my belly yet. I told him I didn't and asked him why. He told me he wanted another baby right now. I explained we usually waited a few more years to have more babies if we were having any more babies at all. The rest of the conversation went as follows:

Me- How many brothers and sisters do you want?
J- A thousand
Me-  A thousand! that's a lot. How would we fit all of those in a car if we wanted to go somewhere as a family? 
J- We would have 300 cars
Me- Who would drive the cars?
J- There would have to be lots of other adults.
Me- So are those adults having those babies in their bellies?
J- Yes, but we all live together in our house
Me- Where would those kids sleep? In your bed?
J- No, I would sleep in my bed but they would sleep on the ground in my room on the carpet and in your room.
Me- Oh, I see. So you would want a thousand other kids to share your toys with?
J- No, I think we should have four more babies, but I think they should all be sisters.
Me- Why sisters? Is it because if they are all sisters you don't think you will have to share your boy toys with them?
J- Yes!

Friends and a Tooth

My sweet friend, Melissa and I were pregnant at the same time and due just about the same time. I ended up having Brielle one week early, and she had Levi one week late so they are just about two weeks apart in age. It is so fun to compare notes and see them play together.We decided today we need to get them together a little more often to work on the sharing, the not pulling each other's hair and the not poking each other in the eye thing. But they are so stinkin' cute together huh? Who knows maybe they will hook up someday. But for now they are the best of buds and are pretty darn cute little stinkers. 

 And in exciting news today- Skylee lost her first tooth! She is super excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight. I hope she rememebers!!
