Easter Pics 2016

As per tradition Diane and I went shopping this past week and got some adorable Easter outfits for the kids. Along with the adorable outfits comes our annual Easter pictures which is Jeff's favorite (heavy on the sarcasm there). Pretty sure we don't make it through these pics every year without him expressing how much he does not like taking pictures. But thankfully he humors me because I cherish these pictures every year. 

I love this pic below because it shows how the pictures went. The theory was Jaston and Skylee you keep smiling and posing and we will attempt to get Brielle in the picture last minute and somehow get her to smile. Needless to say she was NOT cooperating and I think this captures perfectly everyone's frustration with the two year old. :)

It's A...

We did our gender reveal with the family today. It was actually quite a long wait that we had until we could tell everyone what we were having. We wanted to wait until Kelsi and Emil found out and initially our ultrasounds were scheduled less than a week apart but with my complications I had an ultrasound three weeks earlier than expected. So Jeff and I had to keep the gender a secret for a whole month. And then we waited a few extra days for my Mom to get home. Needless to say it is a GREAT relief to finally not have to pretend I don't know or be careful when I'm talking about the baby not to call it a "he." The word is officially out there we are having a BOY! Skylee wanted a boy so bad but was convinced it was a girl. Jaston wanted a sister and was wrong again (he wanted a brother so bad with Brielle). Hopefully he will come around to the idea. Brielle wanted a sister but she is ok with a cute baby boy she let us know. It was a fun night with a few family members and friends. We didn't want to make it too big but it turned out nice. It's official - by this fall we will have a new baby boy and a new baby girl in the family. Can't wait to meet them.

I also kept track of the guesses on FB and instagram and it was like 40 boy versus 15 girl. So friends and family were right on their guesses for the most part.
