Had a lot of fun decorating the Christmas tree this year. Jaston had his 8th birthday and insisted on inviting his entire class and neighborhood friends. With this revelation, I knew we couldn't have potentially 30 kids at my house so we did it at the park and crossed our fingers weather would cooperate in the middle of December. It actually turned out a lot better than I expected and we only had 17 kids... Glad he was able to have the birthday party he wanted.
This was what I wrote on FB for his actual birthday: 8 years ago today at 2:00 in the morning we drove to the hospital in a rare SG snowfall. Jeff was asking me the whole way if I was sure I was in labor because it was nothing like my first intense labor. 12 hours later I held my Jaston in my arms and my life has never been the same. Growing up in a house of girls I never pictured myself a mom of boys but here I was holding my precious son. How grateful I am for my two sons and that I get to learn how to be a mom of my boys. Happy birthday bud, we love you!
