Boy or Girl?

Today we found out we are having a baby girl. We wrapped a balloon in a box to reveal it to the kids. Skylee was jumping up and down and Jaston was almost in tears cuz he wanted a boy. He got over it quickly when Jeff asked him if he would rather have a baby brother or a new car. He chose the car :)

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was wonderful. It all started the weekend before Thanksgiving. We headed up to Monroe for our annual pre-Thanksgiving reunion. It was great hanging with my Dad's side of the family. We played minute to win it games, ate delicious food, went to my cousin, Garrett's Seussical play and just had fun.
I was spoiled and while Jeff had to head back to Kingman, the kids and I stayed at my parents for nine fun-filled, busy days. I had such a blast and it was hard to come back to reality. Isomer the week visiting friends and hanging with family. I couldn't see everyone i wanted but it was fun seeing those i could. We were all together this year for Thanksgiving and Greg ( Jeff's bro ) joined us too.
We played pickle ball early that morning and came home and helped get the delicious turkey dinner ready. It was so yummy. We spent the rest of the day hanging and enjoying each other.
Coming back home was a little easier considering we get to have my ultrasound in two days I hopefully find out the sex of the baby. I can't wait!!

Polar Express

Yesterday our doorbell rang and the kids were super surprised and excited to see their Nana and Papa (Jeff's parents) on our doorstep. We went to lunch with Nana and Papa and then started driving- the kids didn't know where. We had them open a present which turned out to be the Polar Express book. And then we told them we were going to ride on the Polar Express to the North Pole. They were pretty excited. As we got closer to the Polar Express it started snowing which added to the magic of it all. (Yes, I took a thousand pictures and even didn't post all of them believe it or not. But there is still a lot).
Skylee opening her next surprise.

Nana being such a good sport and sitting in the back between two large car seats  to read them stories and entertain them on the way.

I love this pic of Skylee and Papa getting ready to board the train.

All aboard!

All bundled up- isn't he adorable? The kids got to wear their jammies which sounded like a great idea until we had to get completely undressed everytime one of them had to go to the bathroom (Jaston is officialy potty trained wahoo!)

Getting settled on the train- for the twenty minutes waiting for the train to go Skylee kept asking when she gets her hot chocolate.

Jeff wasn't too pleased about me taking his picture but oh well, we needed evidence he was there too.
The snow just fell and fell it was perfect!

My attempt at being artistic with my pics since the rest of them aren't that great cuz I only had my flash on my camera which I don't love.

Jaston had to switch and ride with Papa, it was so sweet. Jaston just jabbered Papa's ear off and loved every minute of his time and attention.

I think these two have missed each other.

This was the smile Skylee forced when the lady told her she had to show her a smile to get her hot chocolate.

Papa and Jaston again so cute!

And this girl is in heaven!

Just some evidence it was COLD outside!

Let it snow, let it snow.

I thought this sign was clever, maybe cheesy but clever.

And a few pics from my phone.
This is when Santa walked in- magical moment :)

Santa telling Skylee, " You're on my good list, the elves told me." Man, did that mean a lot to Skylee.

Skylee said her favorite part was when we got to see Santa. Overall it was super fun- we drank hot chocolate, ate cookies (which gave me a sugar headache btw), read the story, sang Christmas songs, got a visit from Santa and had a fun train ride. Fun night but wiped us all out after.

Halloween 2012

We had a great Halloween this year. On Monday night we carved pumpkins with the kids. Jaston did not enjoy getting his hands slimey but Skylee loved diving in.

Here are our pumpkins- from L to R mine and Jeff's,
Skylee's, and Jaston's.
Skylee was Snow White for Halloween

And my Jaston was a pumpkin which he insisted on about a month ago and no other costume could persuade him otherwise.

One of Jeff's co-workers, Shelly, invited us over for pizza Halloween night and then after pizza we went to a tri-ward trunk-or treat and then to our next door neighbor's. After that we headed home; we had quite the haul and I think the kids could have gone longer but I was quite content being home by 7:30 and relaxing. The kids loved handing out treats to the trick-or-treaters who came to our door. Overall I think it was a fun and successful Halloween. Now I'm sarting the denial that it's already November. But we find out what the baby's gender is at the end of the month and I can't wait!
