Lunch with Daddy

We went and met Jeff for lunch and got to see his new office. It was kind of fun. He has never had an office before. I've been really impressed with the way the company has been so generous to Jeff. I'm most excited because he has worked so hard and he deserves it.

I asked Skylee what she wanted to learn tonight for family home evening and she wanted to know abt how the clouds move and the moon moves. So I stretched a little to make it more spiritual and talked abt the creation and how Christ and Heavenly Father made the earth in seven days.
When I told her abt thems' making the ocean she paused and said, " Whoa, they made the ocean? That must have been a lot of work!" :)
We talked a little abt the earth's rotation and night and day and she kept asking more questions. So I decided this was best answered by the Internet and better yet... Bill Nye. After all those times I watched Bill Nye in science classes you would think I wouldn't ever want to see him again but it is tough finding something along those lines. After she watched a few clips she turned and said, "Mom, can I learn more?" made me laugh. No, Skylee you may not learn any more. Guess we found something she's interested in. Scientist possibly?? We shall see.

Utah Professional

Today in the mail I received a certificate that has been many years in the making. I am now officially certified as a Utah professional interpreter. (Nevermind the fact that I now live in Arizona). I worked my butt off for this thing. I'm not sure why it is so dang tough to pass this test but it is and I think most interpreters will back me up on the toughness statement. I have only known two interpreters who have passed it the first time they tried. There are five sections you have to pass the first time I took it I passed one section, second time I passed three and then it took me two more times to pass the last section.
So really what this means is that as long as I keep up my continued education hours for Utah and my national certification I never have to test again. Isn't that beautiful? Ok,I'm done with my ramblings just wanted to express my excitement at that little piece of paper and all the hard work and tears that went into it.

Hualapai mountain adventure

Tonight we decided to go check out the restaurant up on hualapai mountain. It is only abt twenty min from our house but the difference is amazing. We live in desert and this is beautiful, cool, fresh mountain. The waitress let us know that the elk were put back so we went and watched them. We really enjoyed the restaurant and esp liked the atmosphere and the fun drive up the mountain. Overall successful Friday night. After we got home we did face time with both sets of grandparents. The kids sure love their grandparents. They are pretty special.

Rain, Rain and More Rain

Ever since we moved here it has seriously not stopped raining and that was three weeks ago. The crazy thing is it is only at night. Almost every night- sometimes every other night we get these huge thunder/lightning downpour storms. By morning it's clear. With exception of today, that is. Today after walking Skylee to school the first time (Ya, they start an hour late on Wed. and I forgot) it started to downpour. So I ended up driving her to school the second time and just walking her up to the school and back to my car (with an umbrella) I was drenched! So it rained off and on all day. The kids came home and wanted to go play in it. So they did and had a blast. Exhibit A-D

Licensed

After a lot of headache, money, and time Jeff is officially a licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Arizona. Crazy enough he is still working as a nurse, though. The credentialing process with the hospital is turning out to be quite the process. Thankfully they did take him on as a nurse tho so he could start training before he was credentialed. If this wasn't possible Jeff would still be commuting to St. George to continue his other job. We feel very blessed it has worked out well despite the delay on the credentialing.

Trains

For FHE tonight we went out for root beer floats at Ms.D's who we heard had amazing homemade root beer. Then just across the street they have a train you can climb on and tour. The kids loved it and to add to it abt four or five actual moving trains passed by while we were there. Overall fun night:)

Idaho

We went a few weeks ago to Idaho for two reunions and to see my grandparents. It was so much fun. I have so many fun memories at my grandparents in Idaho. Now I am excited to take my kids and have them join in all the fun traditions we have like playing in the barn, going for walks and spending time with GG and Great Grandpa Thomas. They love spending time at GG's. 

 Skylee and Rylee (My cousin, Brady's daugher) had just had birthdays so we had a little birthday party for them. Skylee got two dollars and was super excited. 

 Before church on Sunday we took a minute to go take pictures out by the awesome grainery. Unfortunately it was much too bright for the lighting but they were still cute regardless. These are the cousins. 

The day we left we got to work for our lodging by painting Grandma and Grandpa's wells and planters and benches. With the five of us it went really quickly. There is something about working that just makes you feel satisfied. The other two pics are actually when we were still in Utah staying with Pat and Ang. Steph and Jaston were posing for a pic. Our New Home

Well I finally got the internet today and decided it was time to post some pics of the past week in our new home. We love our new home. We MISS all of our friends and family in St. George so so much but are looking forward to our new adventures in Kingman. I was going through my camera and realized I am super far behind on my blogging. So i'll post these pics of the our new house and then go back and start trying to catch up. The week before we moved we went to Idaho for two reunions and i got some fun pics there. But for now... Enjoy pics of our new place...

I have to take a minute and thank my amazing parents for coming down the weekend we moved. My mom came down with me early Friday so I didn't have to be alone when the movers came. Then my Dad came up that night to help unpack. I was amazed at what we accomplished in those first two days. We had my entire kitchen set up, all the furniture put together including our new table and bunk bed and dresser that were all in boxes in pieces. AND we got all my pics and decorations up. My parents are the best!! Love you Mom and Dad! This was the morning they were taking off my dad was in playing games with the kids while my mom was giving Jeff his last hair cut before she left. He will be lost without her.
