The past week has been very eventful. Jeff's Mom's best friend (whew!) from Tennessee came to visit. Her and Diane met when they both lived in Paris, France. Jeff's family lived in Paris when he was 9 years old for a year and a half. His Dad was an electrical engineer for Chevron and they sent him all over while Jeff was growing up. So they have been best friends ever since. Each year they take turns going to each other's home for a few weeks. This year Miss Rose or Grandma Rosie (according to my kids) came and her and Diane have been partying in Vegas. Jeff, the kids and I went down to the state line (Primm) for a night and hung out with them and Jeff's brother, Ken, from Phoenix. We had a lot of fun. The kids loved the tram that took us over the freeway and they love sleeping in a hotel room. Jeff and I had fun on Buffalo Bill's crazy roller coaster... it has been a long time since I've been on a coaster. I loved it!
Another fun event this week was Father's Day. The kids had a ton of fun hanging with Papa and looking at his trains. He has an amazing talent/hobby building model trains. The kids are super into his trains but it gives me a heart attack having them around them they are so delicate and he spends so much time on every train.
We are so blessed to have both sets of grandparents in town so we got to spend Father's Day with all our Dads today. We had dinner at my parents. We had yummy tin foil dinners which I haven't had in ages. So good! The kids sure love their Grandpa and Grandma Johnson!
I do have to insert what a great Dad Jeff is too. I am so so blessed to have such an amazing husband who doubles as a great Daddy! Not sure how I was so blessed to deserve him but I am grateful for him and all he puts up with with me. Love that man!

On Saturday we took a drive up to Zion to show Miss Rose what Zion is all about. We had a fun trip and even added another smashed penny to our family collection.
My Father's Day present for Jeff was fishing poles for him and the kids so they could go fishing. So of course we had to go out tonight and try to catch some fish. It was a little hot and I think all the fish were down deep so we had no luck but Jeff wants to take the kids out in the morning again when it's a bit cooler. Hopefully they have more luck in the morning. I got what I wanted...pictures!
I told you it was a fun week! On Friday the kids and I went swimming with Kaesha and JT. It was so much fun. Skylee loved it! They had a slide and she went again and again. Jaston went once with me and after going under the water was pretty much done with the pool. He would stand on the steps but that was all. Thanks Kaesh for the invite it felt SO refreshing!
