Quarantine Birthday

Brielle has been planning her birthday party for the past nine months. Pretty much daily she would let us know of her newest plan for her birthday- House of Jump, swimming at the Community Center, having a big party at our house, going to the carousel, playing at the splash pad and it goes on and on. Notice all of these things are including things that we can't do during this social distancing business. So I was so stressed that she would be disappointed in her stay-home, no- friends birthday. So we worked extra hard to make it special. We did the traditional balloons in the bed to begin with. I made this poster board for Brielle and put it outside with pens and sanitizer and chalk so neighbors could come by and leave birthday messages. They were all so sweet and made it very special. She also was spoiled with a doorbell ditch Fiiz drink from Aunt Kelsi and the girls. She had a drive-by by her best friend, Olivia and Keely (my cousin) and both of them brought sweet gifts for her. Nana came over for cake and the traditional candle on the Zinger. We took her to McDonald's for happy meals for lunch and Nana brought Panda Express for dinner. Then Mom spent 6+ hours working on the perfect unicorn cake (well, it may not have turned out perfect but that was the intention). At one point, Brielle said "I didn't expect to have so much fun." She got to skip her chores and then after dinner we got to watch the new Disney movie Onward. In order to watch Onward we had to break down and get Disney Plus which the kids have wanted for quite some time. Minus all the friends, I think Brielle had a great birthday. We sure love her and just wanted her to have a special day.
