Snuggle Bugs

So this morning I got to enjoy one of the simple pleasures in life- having both my kids climb into bed with me and snuggle for more than two seconds. Yep, I think it might have been even a half an hour and I loved it!
For about the past month or so each morning Jaston (my early bird) will come into my room and climb into bed with me. A lot of times he will snuggle up and fall back asleep for a half an hour or forty five min. I will admit mornings when I wake up before him I will lay in bed and wait for him because I don't want to give up that precious time with my baby.
Yes, there are a few draw-backs like having to cuddle with at least three cars and Mac (his big truck that holds all the cars) since he can't sleep without them. I have tried to go sneak in his room at night to take Mac out of his hands so that I don't get it in the face the next morning but sometimes I forget...
What a sweet little boy, though and how i cherish this time because I know it won't last. One day he is going to wake up and decide mom isn't cool and crawling up in bed with her to hug her and go back to sleep won't be "what big boys do." But for now I will pretend I'm sleeping so that my little man will crawl in bed and cuddle with Momma.

I few more fun things I need to write about before I forget. Just last night Jaston said he wanted to say the prayer so Skylee said she wanted to help him. Wow, nothing more powerful than a four year old helping her little brother say the prayer over our food. Truly the spirit of those two- they really are close to heaven sometimes.
Also yesterday I was driving up to Cedar to work and I was going to take the kids up to Teona's to play while I went. The weather wasn't supposed to be that great and I was a little nervous so I told the kids we should say a prayer before we got on the freeway. Skylee said she wanted to say it so I reminded her to ask Heavenly Father if we could get there safe. So that sweet girl offered the sweetest prayer and in it she said, "Heavenly Father, thank you for letting us drive safely." I was so touched with her sweet faith. She already knew we were going to get there safe. It made me feel I needed to be more faithful.

We watched a movie the other night for family home evening and after this one part Jaston just looked at the screen and said ,"It is awesome!" Jeff and I just looked at each other and laughed. We have never heard him use that word and he was so serious about what had happened on the movie being just awesome. :) Love that boy.
