Jaston Tales

I was just thinking about something that happened the other day when we were on our way up to Teona and Wayne's in Payson. We had stopped in Filmore to get lunch and the kids had eaten so Kelsi and I were sitting eating while the kids were playing at a park. I saw a little boy start to push Jaston so my Mama Bear instincts started up and I got up to go have a talk with that little bully but then I saw he had run away and figured it had worked itself out. I could see he was not being too kind to other kids so I was keeping an eye on him making sure he didn't get close to any of my kids or Brinlee and also trying to get a read on who was the parent and see if they were watching what was going on.
At one point I saw Jaston wrap his arms around Brielle and guard her from the little boy who was trying to push her; I thought that was very sweet. I got distracted with something else and hadn't thought much of it and Jaston came over and sat down at the table. He looked up at us and said, "I finally got a chance to talk to that little boy's parents and let them know that he wasn't being very nice." It made Kelsi and myself laugh out loud. I was very proud of Jaston for taking care of his own problem. He said he had told the little boy to stop and then when he didn't he informed the parents that there was a problem.
I could tell the little boy was being watched by his grandparents but the grandpa did start getting on the kid for being nice after that and they eventually left, but I sure enjoyed his announcement that he had "finally got a chance to talk to his parents." Love that kid!
