One thing that I don't want to forget abt Skyler this year is how she goes to school in the morning. The first few weeks were a little rough. She was so excited at first to go to Kindergarten but after a few days I think the full day was really hard on her. So every morning I would be holding her as she cried and convincing her to go to school as I left and cried cuz I felt so bad. One thing that helped was the kissing hand. If you haven't read the book The Kissing Hand you really should. The gist of the story is you kiss their little palm and it stays there the whole day. If they start to miss you during the day they can just put their hand to their cheek and feel your love. 

        My heart always swelled seeing her walk away into that big school with her tiny hand on her cheek. Jaston always has to sign I Love You to her everyday when she leaves multiple times. So we are always yelling at her to turn around as she walks away so he can sign it again. She is so cute cuz she will sign it back and then keep her hand facing him as she walks away. So I have two sweet images of my Sky going to school- hand on the cheek and her little I love you behind her back. I need to take pics of her. I will admit u enjoy the full day Kindergarten now but it was hard for all three of us at first. 

      There have been a few days where I just feel so bad to send her. Like a few days ago she whacked her head HARD on our island and had a huge goose egg right before school. I took her to the school nurse and she said she was ok but I'm pretty sure Sky wanted to hear she had to go home. She did fine but I was so worried. It's tough to be a new mom of grade-schoolers. But she loves it and is learning that's all that matters right.
